February Journal Club – Thursday
Join us for the February Journal Club facilitated by Arita McCoy, NP – Medstar, with special guests Denise and Bernard Coley. This Journal Club will be a discussion diving deeper into a look at the racial disparities in Parkinson’s disease, the impact this has on care, how providers can facilitate improved access and care; and finally, we will engage in discussions to promote change and drive ongoing commitment to underserved communities.
The Journal Club has now built out as a two consecutive that explores racial and ethnic disparity and access. There are four articles listed below.

Overview of Two Session Format and why attending both will be beneficial and whole:
Session 1: Overview of Issues (What’s the Problem?) and Challenges (What’s in the way of solving the problem?)
Session 2: Deep Dive on Top 1-3 Issues (Pragmatic solutions identification and implementation strategies)
Audience Query: What workplace issues/challenges came to mind as you read these articles? Can we prioritize a top 5 for our guests?

Please note: Recognizing that AMDAPP members work across four time zones, we will be piloting hosting two JC sessions on back-to-back days for better options based on your needs. The Third Wednesday 430p PST / 730p EST remains, with the second session the following Thursday 3p PST / 6p EST.
