Racial & Ethnic Disparities in Parkinson Disease

This commentary takes a holistic look at the experience of disparities among different races and ethnicities. It analyzes what is known about different population groups as well as potentials for minority groups to be at an increased risk of developing Parkinson’s Disease. It also illustrates that the current research is insufficient to fully understand the disparities. There is also a discussion on advocacy and health policy and suggests solutions to achieve health equity among patients living with Parkinson’s Disease.
